Question:   What do I do when a tourist wants a product that is not available on the desired date or in the correct quantities?
     
Answer:   Each time a tourist makes a reservation request for one of your products, this is indicated on your Tracking System screen. If you can not confirm the availability of the product, you can offer the tourist a comparable product. The tracking system screen shows you the selection criteria the tourist used. This might help you find an alternative for him. If you find him an alternative product, the tourist will see this in his own Tracking System screen. Here he can agree, or not, with the alternative you offered.

If you can not offer an alternative, click on the line of the unavailable product. A screen opens. Then click on Cancel. This causes an alarm with an agent in your tourist office. He now knows that:
• the tourist requested a product with you
• the product is not available
• you can not provide an alternative

The agent will now try to find an alternative with another company, using the same criteria the tourist used to make his initial choice. He will then contact the tourist to discuss the alternative.
